FIRST PHASE FOR THE DIGITAL FUTURE OF BUILDINGS OF 32 LOCAL AUTHORITIES COMPLETED WELL EARLY

Five years of free and secure connectivity have started for the Municipalities of Valle Sabbia thanks to Secoval

NOZZE DI VESTONE – The 5 years of free connectivity and voice have officially begun, starting from January 1, 2024 and well ahead of schedule, for 32 municipalities (Agnosine, Anfo, Bagolino, Barghe, Bedizzole, Bione, Capovalle, Casto, Gavardo, Idro, Lavenone, Mazzano, Mura, Muscoline, Nuvolento, Nuvolera, Odolo, Paitone, Pertica Alta, Pertica bassa, Preseglie, Provaglio V/S, Rezzato, Roè Volciano, Sabbio Chiese, Salò, Serle, Treviso Bresciano, Vallio Terme, Vestone, Villanuova S/C and Vobarno) and a hundred public buildings thanks to Secoval which has relaunched, improving, the fiber and voice service for its members using the funds made available by the PNRR.

Giovanmaria Flocchini, President of the Comunità Montana Valle Sabbia, states: “The result of the activities carried out so far demonstrates the commitment and speed in providing public services by pursuing cutting-edge solutions, allowing the community to fully benefit from technological progress. The transition to secure connections represents an indispensable step in supporting the modernization of municipal infrastructures, promoting sustainability and preparing municipalities to face future digital challenges in a dimension within citizens' reach.”

The new fiber and public telephony management project represented a “handover” from the old to the new operator that obviously did not see any interruption of activity, but instead proposed for the next five years an increasingly effective, efficient service and above all in step with the times of the digital world and its challenges.
“The enthusiasm with which the new supplier has anticipated the network renewal times is an excellent sign for the future of the voice and digitalization service of 32 municipalities” says Flavio Gnecchi, Sole Director of Secoval.
There are numerous and noteworthy innovations in the service for PAs provided by Mynet, a telecommunications company, including several backup lines designed to deal with any fiber failures, thus ensuring business continuity and avoiding isolation for the affected municipalities.
“Thanks to the significant investments made, through SD-WAN technology, we can centrally manage the connected entities that face the challenge of moving applications to the cloud through fast and, above all, absolutely reliable connectivity” explains Davide Lauro, ICT area manager of Secoval, who concludes “this fiber optic infrastructure, which is certainly in continuity with the recent past, knows how to look to the future and to new challenges through a concrete and innovative vision for an increasingly smart territory”.
Giovanni Zorzoni, General Manager of Mynet, adds: “Being able to complete the infrastructure activity in record time, that is, in 50% of the planned time, is a satisfaction that is combined with the enormous pride of being able to be part of the digital revolution of Secoval in Valle Sabbia, a very important territory for us where we want to continue to extend our network in the three-year period 2024-2026. This project has also allowed us to create the ring closure towards the Trentino border which allows for the first time maximum resilience in the event of damage to backbone cables, but allows scalability that can reach 8 Terabit/s with the minimum possible latency towards the capital of Brescia and Lombardy, creating the space for any cloud application of the future”.
