MYNET SPONSOR OF THE BONORIS THEATRE IN MONTICHIARI
The telecommunications company confirms its support for the Brescia area

The commitment of Mynet, the telecommunications company born in Mantua but now strongly rooted in the Brescia area, continues in favor of the local area.

The new piece of the mosaic is the partnership recently signed between the company and the Bonoris Theatre Association that manages the historic eighteenth-century theatre in Montichiari, an agreement that includes the free supply of ultra-broadband connectivity for the three-year period 2024-2026 and the provision of a contribution to support some shows. Furthermore, Mynet, by making its internal resources available, has undertaken to create an institutional video useful for promoting the association's activity and the beauty of the structure.

The new ultra-fast connectivity will allow a decisive leap in quality in the organization and implementation of all the initiatives carried out in the beautiful setting of the theatre, from shows to meetings to administrative activity.

The new partnership was presented in a specially convened press conference by the President of the Bonoris Theater Association Alberta Vanoli, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Montichiari Angela Franzoni, the Commercial Director of Mynet Giorgio Intonti, and Paolo Chiarini, Coordinator of AIM, Montichiari Business Association.

“I had the pleasure of meeting director Intonti during an evening organized by AIM at the Bonoris theater, where I asked for support for our cultural activities,” Vanoli said. “During the event, I retraced the history of the theater, unique and fascinating, which ties us closely to the Virgilian capital, where Mynet took its first steps. The theater, in fact, was built in Mantua at the end of the eighteenth century commissioned by the Airoldi family. During the nineteenth century, following an economic crash of the owners, it was put up for auction and Gaetano Bonoris from Montechiaro won it. The structure of the theater, completely made of wood, was dismantled piece by piece, catalogued, transported to Montichiari and stored in the Church of Suffragio, located right in front of where the theater stands today. Gaetano Bonoris managed to obtain from the Municipality an area on which an arena stood, modifying the wall part, so as to be able to assemble, inside it, the entire theater: stage, stalls, two tiers of boxes and a gallery. The building was inaugurated in 1879 with the opera “Il Trovatore” by Verdi. Since then there have been many vicissitudes but the theater, with all its ailments, is still a small eighteenth-century jewel that I like to compare to an “old Lady” still active but very fragile that needs constant maintenance in order to survive. Mynet was among the first companies in our area to accept my appeal both for the ‘Adopt a show’ initiative with a contribution for the Natalino Balasso evening, and with the significant bonus of free fiber optics for three years: advanced technology and concrete savings. My sincere and great thanks to Mynet for the sensitivity shown in promoting historical and cultural initiatives in our area”.

“As Deputy Mayor and representing the Municipal Administration, I welcome Mynet’s choice to promote and support the theatrical activity of our city by meeting the requests of President Vanoli – states Franzoni - The implementation of fiber optics, the primary objective of the company, granted free of charge for three years, will allow a significant general improvement in the theater’s services, in a scenario that requires increasingly faster and more efficient communications. Thanks therefore go to Mynet for believing in this laudable project and for the sensitivity shown towards the territory in which it operates”.

“One of the core values of our business activity,” explains Intonti, “is rootedness in the territory and interaction with its community, with which the company maintains an almost symbiotic relationship. From the territory, the company receives wealth and workforce, but it is necessary to reciprocate by offering support and well-being. Teatro Bonoris, a true jewel to be preserved and enhanced, is one of these cases. Furthermore, we have our commercial headquarters in Montichiari, and we are therefore completely integrated, living it daily, in the urban context.”

“This year too, AIM is committed to conveying cultural and social initiatives that require support to its members,” adds Chiarini, “This is because we believe that enhancing the territory can provide transversal benefit to all the realities that are part of it. It is a good thing that one of our members, but he is not the only one, wanted to invest in Teatro Bonoris, the jewel of our city. After all, business and culture speak the same language, that of traditions to be passed down by looking with foresight.”
