MYNET JOINS MIX BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The operation took place after the recent acquisition of ULI

Mynet has officially entered Mix, the main Internet exchange point in Italy and one of the main European hubs in terms of traffic volume, boasting peaks exceeding 2.6 Tbit/s.
Yesterday, the company's CEO Luca Legittimo was elected to the Mix Board of Directors, representing the Brianza-based operator ULI (Utility Line Italia), acquired last November.
For Mynet, joining the Mix Board of Directors represents a huge achievement and a strategic starting point for new challenges.

MIX — Milan Internet Exchange
MIX, located in Caldera Park, west of Milan, is the main Internet exchange point in Italy and one of the main European hubs in terms of traffic volume, boasting peaks exceeding 2.6 Tbit/s.
Its modern switching fabric is located inside a 1MW Carrier Hotel owned by the company, which hosts over 250 carriers and ISPs.
Nearly 400 networks connect to MIX, spread across 11 data centers, integrating with MIX’s regional IXs in Palermo, Bologna, Rome and soon Caserta.
MIX is a leader in compliance and security, being the first Italian IXP to achieve ISO27001:2013 certification and OIX-1 certification from OIX, a feature shared with only 35 other IXPs in the world. This underscores its excellence in service in terms of security and reliability. Additionally, MIX is a founding member of Open Hub Med, a carrier-neutral data center in Sicily, demonstrating its crucial role in the regional Internet infrastructure.
