NOGARA BECOMES SMART: WITH MYNET, FREE WI-FI ARRIVES

NOGARA (VERONA) – Free Wi-Fi has also arrived in Nogara, on the border between the provinces of Mantua and Verona: a few days ago, the telecommunications operator Mynet completed the installation work on the new municipal network, consisting of fifteen powerful hotspots serving the institutional and cultural sites of the town, which will provide access to free Wi-Fi with 1 Gigabit/s of total available bandwidth. The project, funded under the WiFi4EU community call, aims to increase connection opportunities for all residents.

The town hall in Via Falcone e Borsellino is covered by the service, as is the nearby municipal theater and the library in Via Ferrarini, located in the center of the town and which over time has become an artistic symbol and the beating heart of Nogara's cultural events.

Two networks are available: one called "WiFi4Eu" with registration valid for 24 hours and renewable every day, and one called "Nogara Free WiFi", with registration valid for one consecutive month. Each user will have 10 Mega of symmetrical bandwidth, a limit set to avoid network abuse (with the consequent risk that a single device blocks all the others), but still more than enough to view content and stream in full HD.

The installed wireless points are already fully operational and are all connected to the Mynet pure fiber optic network to provide the best possible performance. The registration procedure is very quick, which citizens can complete independently in less than twenty seconds.

The Mayor of Nogara, Flavio Massimo Pasini, said: «In a world projected towards digital where IT tools are becoming increasingly powerful and sophisticated, a good Internet connection has become over the years not only useful but indispensable for carrying out even the simplest daily activities. Therefore, offering citizens a reliable and widespread connectivity service was a primary objective for us administrators; now - continues the mayor - thanks to the excellent work done by Mynet, this result has been achieved and we are clearly happy to offer this new service to citizens. From now on, important buildings dedicated to culture, such as the library and the theatre, will be more accessible to everyone."
