CALCINATO, MYNET READY TO CONNECT THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF PONTE SAN MARCO TO OPTIC FIBER

CALCINATO (BRESCIA) – Mynet’s optical fiber continues to spread in the province of Brescia: after Carpenedolo, Cologne, Palazzolo and Acquafredda, the telecommunications operator is also connecting the industrial area of Calcinato to its hyper-technological infrastructure.

While the first investments in infrastructure on the Brescia side date back to 2017 and 2019, last week saw the start of work on the installation of the new optical fiber backbone that will connect the production hub of the Ponte San Marco district, with the simultaneous connection of all the production and hospitality activities present in the area. The end of the work is scheduled for mid-October, but companies can now submit a request for specific planning for connection to the network in FTTH mode (Fiber To The Home - true optical fiber right into the building) and thus be integrated into the progress of the work. The first activations are scheduled for the end of October.

"A service - explains the Mayor of Calcinato, Nicoletta Maestri - that will help the territory and the community to take a step forward from the point of view of the network and IT, which is necessary today to meet the needs of citizens and especially public offices".

Companies will be able to take advantage of the Voucher Plan for businesses, which aims to promote ultra-fast connectivity and the digitalization of the production system, to obtain the connection to the real optical fiber of Mynet at a discounted rate. Officially launched on March 1, 2022, the Plan is accessible until December 15 and in any case until the funds run out. At the moment, 15 companies in the Calcinato area have already joined the bonus. The incentive - Mynet reminds us - allows access to ultra-broadband connectivity services up to 1.5 Gbit/s speed, at a discounted activation cost and maintaining the fee agreed upon when signing the contract.

In Calcinato, Mynet has not only thought about companies: in recent months, the fiber optic connection with speeds of up to 1 Giga in download of the municipal offices was completed, including the town hall in Piazza Aldo Moro, the library in Piazza XX Settembre, the Boschina, the ecological island, the open center together with the youth center, the Marconi cinema theater, the Magica Bula nursery school and the Bianchi kindergarten.

Other points of reference in the territory of the capital can now count on the Mynet infrastructure for connectivity: among these, the Carabinieri command, the sports center and the municipal pharmacy with the civic center, in addition to the private schools "Nascimbeni" and "Mazzoleni" and the retirement home.

And it is precisely to schools that the municipal administration and Mynet have paid special attention, with the pure fiber optic connection with speeds of up to 1 Giga of all the educational centers of the Brescia center: the educational management and the middle school, the primary schools "Ferraboschi", "Agosti" and "Pedrini and Carloni", as well as the two nursery schools "Bruno Munari" and "Marini".
