SACCA DI GOITO ACTIVATES OPTIC FIBER WITH SPEED OVER ONE GIGABIT PER SECOND

GOITO (MANTUA) – Great success for the agreement that the Municipality of Goito recently signed with Mynet aimed at promoting the voucher plan reserved for businesses with the aim of eliminating the costs of activating ultra-wideband fiber optics for all production facilities in the area.

«Thanks to this unprecedented partnership, fiber optics with speeds of over 1 Gigabit/second are finally active in the hamlet of Sacca – announced Mayor Pietro Chiaventi; - the innovative infrastructure installed by the telecommunications operator will also be able to transport all the traffic generated by the municipal cameras. Sacca will soon be followed by the town of Solarolo, where work is progressing rapidly. We are extremely satisfied with the success of the agreement, which allows us to reduce the digital divide in many hamlets of Goito, with countless advantages also for domestic users, who will be able to count on extremely high-performance connectivity, not achievable with obsolete copper or “pseudo fiber” networks».

In the meantime, the center of Goito has already made yet another decisive leap forward towards digital: in recent days, thanks to Mynet, and through the community call for tenders WiFi4EU that the Municipality managed to win, free wi-fi has been activated for citizens, with 8 aggregation points served by real optical fiber with 1 Gigabit/s of total bandwidth available.

Great attention has been paid to locations that are the center of cultural events, such as the theater, equipped with an access point capable of offering free connectivity to the stage and the audience; as for the library, however, both rooms are now served by dedicated equipment, capable of allowing students to follow lessons remotely, taking advantage of the speed and stability of the fiber connection.

Parks and squares have not been overlooked: the very popular Piazza Sordello, the economic, social and cultural heart of the city of Goito, can now satisfy the needs of all visitors; The renovated park on Viale Don Minzoni with extensive coverage is also available for the benefit of young people and families, as is the central Piazza Matteotti, between the church and the post office, which is now entirely connected to the Wi-Fi service. Piazza Don Antonio Bossi in Cerlongo, at the crossroads between the church and the bench area, is also connected, to the benefit of customers of nearby businesses.

Finally, noteworthy is the care with which the waiting area and the refreshment area of the middle school were served, the coverage of which was also extended to the computer room, home to training courses and extracurricular activities for students and citizens.
