IN MOGLIA THE MUNICIPALITY AND MYNET PRESENT THE NEW FIBER OPTIC NETWORK TO THE CITIZENS

MOGLIA (MANTUA) – The meeting organized by the Municipality together with Mynet to officially present the completion of the fiber optic installation works in the capital and in the Bondanello district is scheduled for Wednesday 23 March at 9 pm at the Ecomuseum of Reclamation of Moglia. All citizens are invited: in addition to Mayor Simona Maretti, the General Manager of Mynet Giovanni Zorzoni, the project manager for the Moglia area Cristian Andreoli and the commercial agents Marco Bernardelli and Cecilia Bignotti will also be present.

The Moglia project started in September 2020 with the construction of the long-distance Moglia-Reggiolo infrastructure, of which Mynet is the sole owner operator; the ultra-broadband connections of the two towns date back to last December, with the installation of over 25 kilometers of backbone using innovative excavation techniques with very low environmental impact.

The intervention of the telecommunications company's teams specifically included the FTTH fiber optic connection of all school buildings, which will be able to surf the web at up to a speed of 1 Gigabit/s; the municipal buildings will instead reach up to 200 Mbit/s symmetrical speed. As for private users, in addition to the real FTTH fiber optic, eleven FTTC cabinets for the mixed copper fiber connection are also being activated.

Wednesday's meeting will serve to take stock of the situation and discover together with the Mynet staff what opportunities there are for connecting to fiber optics for families and businesses and small professional businesses in the area.
