SORGA' AND BONFERRARO CONQUER THE ULTRA-BROADBAND: CAPITAL, DISTRICTS AND INDUSTRIAL AREA CONNECTED
SORGA' AND BONFERRARO CONQUER THE ULTRA-BROADBAND: CAPITAL, DISTRICTS AND INDUSTRIAL AREA CONNECTED
03/17/2022
SORGÀ (VERONA) – Border land between Lombardy and Veneto, Sorgà in recent weeks has been the protagonist of the innovative cabling plan of Mynet which, in synergy with the municipal administration, will provide access to the new ultra-fast network through the laying of pure fiber optic cables.
The interventions for the construction of the infrastructure, coordinated by the telecommunications operator active throughout northern Italy, began at the beginning of autumn last year with the creation of the connection between the new backbone of Villimpenta, in the Mantua area, and the center of the hamlet of Bonferraro. Passing through the localities of Moratica, Pampuro and Corte Belgioioso, parallel to the SP20A and the SP32, in recent weeks the infrastructure has reached the town of Sorgà, making over 5,000 real estate units potentially connectable to fiber optics.
To date, the connection, with related activations, of the municipal offices of the capital (including the Town Hall, library and schools) has been completed; FTTC cabinets (Fiber To The Cabinet - fiber optics up to the street cabinet) are also already operational, which will provide access, as a basic service available to all, to the mixed copper fiber connection with speeds of up to 200 Mbit/s; for private users up to 50 meters away from the fiber access network, it will also be possible to take advantage of the opportunity to navigate up to 1 Gigabit/s by paying only the connection costs.
With specific regard to the Bonferraro area, the Mynet teams are completing the Mantova-Nogara backbone and preparing the FTTH (Fiber To The Home - pure fiber optics right into the home) connections throughout the industrial-artisan area, which will allow businesses to benefit from unlimited connection speeds.
Thanks to the efforts of the municipal administration and Mynet, currently the only telecommunications operator to have invested in the area, and to the extensive and widespread coverage of its infrastructure, Sorgà will soon be able to count on an innovative, high-performance fiber optic network capable of reaching every building.
Thus the deputy mayor of Sorgà, Mario Sgrenzaroli: «We are satisfied as an administration with the fiber optic cabling of the town hall, which will finally be able to work in the cloud and remotely, of the library, which from now on will offer a better service to users, and above all of the compulsory schools, which will no longer be precluded from any telematic service; finally, we are happy that the efforts made for the municipal buildings have given rise to a valuable service that families and users will also be able to take advantage of».
