THE ‘TERRE DEI GONZAGA’ CIVIL DEFENCE CHOOSES MYNET: SUPERFAST FIBRE OPTICS WILL CONNECT THE NEW EMERGENCY CENTRE IN BORGO MANTOVANO
THE ‘TERRE DEI GONZAGA’ CIVIL DEFENCE CHOOSES MYNET: SUPERFAST FIBRE OPTICS WILL CONNECT THE NEW EMERGENCY CENTRE IN BORGO MANTOVANO
02/13/2023
MANTOVA - Mynet's optical fibre embraces the world of Civil Protection. Only a few days ago, in fact, a new collaboration agreement was signed between the telecommunications operator, a leader throughout northern Italy, and the ‘Terre dei Gonzaga’ Civil Protection Volunteers Association, active in numerous municipalities in the Oltrepò and Destra Secchia areas.
Thanks to this unprecedented five-year agreement, the forthcoming CPE - Centro Polifunzionale di Emergenza (Multipurpose Emergency Centre) in Borgo Mantovano, the Association's operational headquarters and logistics centre at regional level, will be able to use fibre optics free of charge for all administration, online training and volunteer coordination activities. Mynet will also be at the Association's side at the most important events organised by the volunteers, thus confirming its close link with the territory.
‘We are really proud to make our fibre optic network available to the volunteers of the ‘Terre dei Gonzaga’ Association,’ says Mynet General Manager Giovanni Zorzoni. - Civil Protection, at all levels, needs the best tools and infrastructures to effectively implement its intervention, prevention, alerting and rescue services, as well as those related to the collection and transmission of information: for this reason we could only respond positively to the Association's appeal, fully embracing its aims. By signing the agreement, the volunteers will be able to count on our fibre optics for all prevention and awareness-raising activities, for emergency simulations and drills, and for staff training: fundamental activities for our territory and those who live it on a daily basis’.
‘Luck has worked in our favour in having a telecommunications company like Mynet in our province: it is certainly a privilege to be able to benefit from their business ethics,’ says Nicola Vallerini, President of the “Terre dei Gonzaga” Civil Protection Volunteers Association. - The soon-to-be-opened Multifunctional Emergency Centre, realised thanks to a regional tender, financially supported by our association as well as by the Municipality of Borgo Mantovano, and made operational thanks to the tireless and praiseworthy work of our volunteers, will be, together with the future CPEs, a point of reference at provincial and regional level as well as for all ten municipalities of the Destra Secchia - Destra Po area with us, being located in a strategic position. Considering the function of us Civil Protection volunteers in terms of forecasting, prevention, rescue, and overcoming emergencies, we could not be satisfied with a normal connection: we therefore chose Mynet as our partner, which, with its fibre optic network, will guarantee continuity of service in support of us volunteers and the entire citizenry’.
