IN GARDA SCHOOLS AND MUNICIPALITY CONNECTED TO MYNET FIBER OPTICS UP TO 1 GIGA OF SPEED

GARDA (VERONA) – The project carried out by Mynet in Garda, on the Veronese shore of the lake, is as complex as it is innovative: the leading telecommunications operator in all of northern Italy with 30,000 km of owned fiber optics has recently completed the extension work on its super-technological infrastructure aimed at connecting institutional and school buildings, accommodation facilities and, more generally, economic activities in the area.

In detail, the work carried out involved the connection of the Town Hall in Via Lungolago Regina Adelaide, the middle school in Via Ugo Foscolo and the elementary school in Via Giovanni Pascoli, which since last October 12 can already navigate at up to 1 Gbit/s of symmetrical speed thanks to the connection to the real fiber optics right inside the buildings (FTTH – Fiber To The Home).

In the first operational step carried out in recent months, the entire backbone infrastructure was laid, from which the first branches of the access network started for the connection of contracted users, including municipal offices. Between November and December, however, Mynet's operational teams plan to complete the extension also for all customers who are currently adhering to the Connectivity Voucher Plan: through this incentive, SMEs can obtain connection to Mynet's optical fiber at a discounted rate.

«This measure – specifies the General Manager of Mynet, Giovanni Zorzoni – allows access to ultra-broadband connectivity services up to 1.5 Gbit/s of speed, at a discounted activation cost and maintaining the fee agreed upon during the signing of the contract. Officially started on March 1, 2022, the Plan is accessible until next December 15 and in any case until the funds run out».
